Freshwater Fish Directive – 2006/44/EC (FWD)

DDirective 2006/44/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6 September 2006 on the quality of freshwaters needing protection or improvement in order to support fish life (OJ L 264, 25.9.2006) (codified version replacing and repealing Council Directive 78/659/EEC on the quality of freshwaters needing protection or improvement in order to support fish life [1]. The Directive has been repealed by Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2000 which establishes a framework for Community action in the field of water policy [2].

Shellfish Water Directive – 2006/113/EC (SWD)

Directive 2006/113/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 December 2006 on the quality required of shellfish waters[3]. The Directive has been repealed by Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2000 which establishes a framework for Community action in the field of water policy [4].

Bathing Water Directive – 2006/7/EC (BWD)

Directive 2006/7/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 February 2006 concerning the management of bathing water quality and repealing Directive 76/160/EEC[5].

Water Framework Directive - 2000/60/EC

Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2000 establishing a framework for Community action in the field of water policy[6].

Marine Strategy Framework Directive – 2008/56/EC (MSF)

Directive 2008/56/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 June 2008 establishing a framework for community action in the field of marine environmental policy (Marine Strategy Framework Directive) [7].

Birds Directive 2009/147/EC

Directive 2009/147/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 November 2009 on the conservation of wild birds [8].

Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC

Adopted in 1992, the Council Directive 92/43/EEC of 21 May 1992 on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora aims to promote the maintenance of biodiversity, taking account of economic, social, cultural and regional requirements. [9].

Common Fishery Policy (REGULATION (EU) No 1380/2013
